About Results Vault

ResultsVault is a full web based service which allows Wangaratta & District Association (WDCA) cricket clubs to upload results and other data so that a wide range of scorecards and statistical reports can be displayed. ResultsVault also provides significant administrative benefits to the club and WDCA.

ResultsVault has been designed from the ground up to be flexible. It can be configured to work at both the club and association level, or a mixture of both. 

When you add up the time spent entering match results and producing reports, ladders, maintaining player registration details and email/contact lists, as well as the costs associated with communicating this information by mail or phone, it's easy to see how ResultsVault will soon pay for itself. Your players and supporters will have access to a much wider range of information and results than they probably do at the moment - as soon as you key it in. Clubs who have trialled ResultsVault have reported significant benefits, and an increased interest all round in club and individual performance.

The main features and benefits of ResultsVault Cricket can be summarised as:

Upload of data and information

• All data is uploaded via user friendly web pages
• No extra software required - all you need is a web browser and an Internet connection
• Secure - your information is password protected
• The data entry load can be spread amongst clubs, or controlled centrally by an association
• If applicable, match results can be confirmed and locked by an association
• Clubs and associations can have an unlimited number of "logins" to further share the load - for example a club could have a different user able to login and enter inf ormation for each grade
• Logins (users) can be maintained by authorised personnel (deleted, added, passwords reset)

Customisable

• ResultsVault can be customised to either a club or association view at any time.
• Add your club or association's name and logo to the site to enable
• Most reports can be customised - for example setting the number of runs for an innings to qualify for a report
• Some reports can even be disabled by clubs - for example to maintain suspense for end of season awards!
• Grade names can be customised by the clubs - to give meaningful names such as "1st XI"

Rich set of match and statistical reports

• Team lists and match day information (venues etc)
• Full Match Scorecard - displayed in the standard format. Includes full batting and bowling details, dismissals, fielding summaries
• Match views by Round or by Season for a single club or all competeting clubs.
• Ladders
• Match reviews may be entered by participating clubs
• Averages, aggregates, best performance reports for batting and bowling
• Club championship reports
• Player reports - summarised for a season across grades
• All match results are kept from season to season, allowing display or previous season's matches, as well as statistical reports across multiple seasons

Administrative Features

• Player registration
• Player email list capabilities - easily email team lists or other information to players. No need to maintain other player email lists.
• Support for non competing "inactive" players
• Download player lists in common spreadsheet formats at any time
• Associations can also email clubs. No need to maintain other club email lists.
• Our sophisticated "Draw Creator" tool allows the creation of season draws/fixtures which can then be edited and maintained during the season. Copy and edit existing draws to reduce data entry. A draw can be produced in minutes.
• Easily update your club and association information (name, email/contact information etc)

Other site features

• Run your own Fantansy league competition, where virtual teams made up of players from your club compete against each other
• Integrates easily with existing club or association web sites, or can be used "stand-alone"
• Smart! The site remembers your settings for when you next return, and you can create your own shortcuts

The Australian Cricket Board trialled the use of ResultsVault during the Under 17 National Championships held from 4th -15th January 2002. These Championships involve eight teams representing their respective state and territory cricket associations each playing 5 two day matches in a 12 day period. Each match required the recording of the scorecards at scheduled breaks in play in order to produce full match scorecards, summary match reports and player performance data. This information was uploaded from ResultsVault to the ACB's website during the championship as well as being communicated to national media outlets, state & territory cricket associations and players and officials involved in the championship. ResultsVault was able to accommodate the requirements of the ACB in order to efficiently record championship data in a range of outlets. The championship staff were easily able to navigate through the ResultsVault site and utilise the required features.
